Network Auction’s latest collective online auction on 11th February proved a hit with buyers with many lots exceeding their guide prices. The auction raised £4.6 million with a 73% sales success rate.
One lucky bidder picked up a piece of history with a three bedroom, 17th Century Grade II listed cottage in Ware, Hertfordshire for £258,000. The property, being sold by Order of the Executor, had a wealth of period features including an inglenook fireplace, exposed beams and a carved wood panel in the sitting room. While the property would benefit from sympathetic modernisation, it had bags of potential!
Toby Limbrick, director, said, ‘Auctions have continued to prove their resilience in this challenging market by offering buyers and sellers the flexibility to bid and buy property online. With the legal paperwork prepared before sale day, many sellers and buyers are choosing this method of sale to avoid costly delays.’
